O'Reilly Lets D L Hughley Talk.....about President Obama Amazing....Bill O'Reilly vs D.L. Hughley (10/24/2012)

What Makes Bill O'Reilly Tick: We Talk the Beyonce Obsession with Alicia Menendez on Mediabistro

  • The old geezer wishes he could have sex in the front or back seat! Why is Bill so focused on an entertainer? Shouldn't he be commenting on Vladimir Putin, the trade imbalance, lack of funding for public schools, GMOs, health care or poor people in America.... Oh I forgot that he is an entertainer and not a serious news journalist. My apologies! Opinion News has dumbed down intelligent discussion.

He always advocates marriage and no single pregnancies or absent father's in the black community. Here you have a married woman with a child and husband. I'm sure Fox's white audience really cares. Is O'Reilly a role model with his sexual harassment activities?

o'reilly seems to be an expert on Beyonce and porn at this point...what, he likes to look at beautiful women, too.
Yammering on about Jay-Z and Beyonce taking responsibility every evening--he shook hands with Snoop at Kennedy Center Honors.....did he bother to chat with him about his well-known community work in Long Beach. Did he listen to Snoop talk about responsibilty to Larry King. Perhaps Bill should tune in to the actual news once in a while instead of just believing his own bilge.

His audience of old white men eats this stuff up. Yknow all those lazy black people getting food stamps and free healthcare while getting BJ's in limousines

do you really think that is true....because sometimes I am sure that is the whole obvious unsaid, horrible, ugly truth of Bill O'Reilly, fox news and their co-horts......excluding Geraldo and Juan Williams and whoever else I will apologize to at this time for non mentioning. Is Bill O'Reilly code for racism in America? But then, even though I do not agree with Bill's guilt ridden form of Catholic justice, another thing he seems to be preaching--hell and damnation for anyone who disagrees with his philosophy of what is right and wrong all determined by his version of Christ.....I don't see how anyone claiming to be that religious and simply striving for the well-being of every citizen of our country could have such racist and demeaning views towards another human being. I'm okay with different political views on policy. Healthcare--all of the advanced nations have health care--he claims now he wants health care for every one--just not President Obama style. It does seem like he is laughing at smirking at all people that are not of his thinking--he is so condescending to the President--he wants to ingratiate himself so he can be a part of things--I think he cannot stand President Obama but he pretends to agree on some things so he can be relevent and part of things for his own survival, the show and fox news--you know, like every narcissist--he will do what ever it takes to keep being noticed.

The word is the only reason there's all this focus on Beyonce, Jay-Z and Bill O's rage against Gangster rap is because FNC wants to entice a younger and, especially, more diverse audience. Like most of the country.

Very interesting....because the question I always try to ask is....why is Bill O'Reilly so popular--who is he talking to? Who actually is his audience?
The tickets for the meet and greet portion of his gig touring around the country were 500 dollars a piece here in San Diego. Are these the folks he is looking out for, as he frequently insists.
I think he does not realize there are more folks in line with President Obama than Bill. In other words PO has been elected twice--the repubs are faltering big time.
If you actually listen to Bill very closely it seems like he only lives in his own exclusive ego-maniac world. As in this whole thing with Beyonce--his thought process is really not from the point of a world view.
If Fox thinks they are attracting more viewers with their Beyonce and Jay-z talk....I personally would think they are pushing the younger viewwers away.
I think you may be right, though, because I think they want their candidate to win in an intense way. Right, Bill and Roger Ailes would like to pick the next president, I believe, they have stated.
Speakig of porn, that is why they got right in bed with Chris Christie in a fast way, because they wanted to be associated with the winning team but that has fizzled out and now it seems like they think Jeb Bush can pull the GOP out of the grave.
Seriously, if they want the repubs tp appeal to a younger crowd why don't they run someone young, cute and reasonable like Jon Huntsman? He might be too much for the rich old white guys, who I think, make up a major part of Bill's audience.
I'll put what you said in my blog the ronnie re--interesting and insightful and thank you for your comment.

Seriously? If old white men are his "viewers", why does he win the 25-54 demo by wide margins?
If tickets to meet him and Miller were $500, can you tell me what they are to meet Obama and most politicians? Obama was just at two $32,000 a plate dinners just to be in the same room as him. I thought he was supposed to be for the "little" guy. Ha.
You "think" FNC wants "their" candidate to win. FNC doesn't pick a Republican candidate. The hosts and contributors are free to endorse whomever they feel like endorsing and to freely state their views - including the liberal contributors and guests.
BTW: In a recent poll, 71% of those who voted for Obama in 2012 now say they regret it. We'll see what Dems want him campaigning in their states and districts this fall. There won't be too many. Maybe there will be a few in very deep blue states and districts. The rest will be running from the president like he was the plague.

In the recent book talking about Roger Ailes I thought there was a reference to him saying he wanted to be involved in picking the next president. I think at one point it was fairly obvious the way Bill jumped on the speeding freight train known as Chris Christie that they wanted to endorse and be a part of the ticket. It was a long time before Bill would acknowledge his bridge disaster.

You believe everything you read? The book was unauthorized and was a slam of Ailes. All FNC hosts and contributors - conservatives and liberals alike - say no one has ever told them what to say or do on air.
And you would think someone tells Bill O'Reilly what to say or do?
Bill has always said Chris Christie, blah blah blah - IF he knew nothing about the lane closings. He says if Christie knew anything about the closings, he's toast. That's really all there is needed to be said about the closings. If Christie is found to have lied, he's done for. Bill is not on any train for anyone. Bill has always been so supportive of Obama (up to now) that he's lost many conservatives. BOR has recently soured on Obama politically. He still says he's a patriot who has America's best interests at heart. You think most Republicans like to hear that? They rail against O'Reilly when he says things like that.

I will put your comment in my blog the ronnie republic--it is interesting and also I do try to show both sides and I constantly try to understand BO. I do not understand him......from what you are saying then....what do most repubs want him to do? Also, what is the difference between repub, conservative and tea party...which is Bill? Who has the best chance of winning the repub ticket of that group and what person could win the nomination. Doesn't it have to be someone more centered that appeals to all of those groups.

                                        • Avatar

If you have ever watched BOR, you would know that he defines himself as independent. He is registered to vote as an Independent and he has never once in over 17 years on FNC revealed who he had voted for or was going to vote for. You can see his conservative leanings on many things but he is quite liberal on some. I think he has gotten a little more conservative over the years and less libertarian leaning with fewer issues. I would be more likely to define him as conservative now than in the past when he held more libertarian and liberal views on a few issues.
Conservative is a political philosophy. Republican is an actual American political party which is made up of many of those with conservative fiscal and social views. The tea party is supposed to be Taxed Enough Already (TEA). They should be defined as fiscally conservative and wanting smaller government and less regulation. There are at least eight separate groups that define themselves as tea party. The problem is three of the groups have gotten into social issues as well as fiscal. The tea party should be just fiscal conservatives. I see that as a real problem. Another problem is that some tea partiers say they will never accept a Republican with more moderate views as the Republican standard bearer. That could assure President Hillary Clinton.
Most genuine (on all issues) conservatives and Tea partiers cannot stand Bill O.
At this point, I cannot even try to make a premise as to who can get the Republican nomination.
I define myself as a conservative on most all issues who generally votes Republican. I can remember my aversion to Richard Nixon and just cannot define myself as "a Republican". Even in my wildest liberal days, I never once doubted the right to life of and the humanity of an unborn child. The Democratic party left me on that issues as there used to be many prominent pro-life Democrats.
And it has been true for me that: "If you're not liberal when you're 20, you have no heart. But if you're not conservative when you are 40, you have no brain." And The Winston Churchill Centre in England says Churchill did not say that quote that is attributed to him so many times.

                                      • Alicia Menendez Takes on Bill O’Reilly Over Beyonce Comments

Fusion’s de facto media criticAlicia Menendez, didn’t like what her old friend Bill O’Reilly said about Beyonce on “The O’Reilly Factor” this week, so she “went on his show” (aired clips edited to look like she was part of the conversation) last night to address the comments in question. At issue: O’Reilly says Beyonce “glorifies having sex in the back of a limousine,” while Menendez says the singer “empowers young women to be whatever they want to be.” Watch:
